Dear Valued Customer,

Since our start in 1976, children have been at the heart of everything we do. We’ve grown from offering mom-and-baby classes in the San Francisco Bay Area to opening clothing stores across the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada, along with franchises around the world. Today our family of brands—Gymboree, Janie and Jack, and Crazy 8—provides clothes for every kid at every phase to ensure every moment of childhood is special. We aim to make shopping and getting dressed easy and fun, and we appreciate you choosing to shop with us in our stores and online. 

Over the past several months, we have been working toward putting our company in a much stronger position financially so that we can give all of our customers the best shopping experience and quality products you love. To position our business for long-term success, The Gymboree Corporation has elected to go through a court-supervised financial restructuring. We will remain open for business as usual throughout this process. You may have read about and even experienced first-hand other companies that have continued to serve their customers while going through this process, ultimately thriving over the long term as a result. We expect the same for all three of Gymboree’s brands as we work to create an even better company for the future.

During this transition, you can continue to shop on our brands’ websites and at most of our stores. While the majority of our stores will remain open, we have decided to close approximately 350 stores, mainly across our Gymboree and Crazy 8 brands, to help strengthen our company as a whole. Additional information about what customers can expect in the months ahead at our locations that are closing can be found in the FAQs on this website. We will continue to provide additional updates as we move through this process.
