Since our start in 1976, Gymboree has grown from offering mom-and-baby classes in the San Francisco Bay Area to a high-quality specialty retailer, operating stores across the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada, along with franchises around the world. Children are at the heart of everything we do, and today our family of brands – Gymboree, Janie and Jack, and Crazy 8 – provides clothes for every kid at every phase to ensure every moment of childhood is special. Across all of our brands, we aim to make shopping and getting dressed easy and fun and we appreciate you choosing to shop with us in our stores and online. 

Over the past several months, we have been taking actions to put our company in a much stronger position financially so that we can continue to meet your children’s clothing needs. To position our business for long-term growth and success and strengthen our financial condition, The Gymboree Corporation has elected to go through a court-supervised financial reorganization. We will remain open for business as usual throughout this process. You have likely read about and even experienced first-hand other companies that have continued to serve their customers while going through this process, ultimately thriving over the long term as a result. We expect the same for all three of Gymboree’s brands as we work to create an even better company for the future.

As a result of the restructuring, we expect that our customers will see no changes to our brands’ e-commerce websites or most of our stores during this transition. We will continue to offer a great selection of merchandise, outstanding customer service, and plan to honor our current return policies and all of our loyalty programs such as gift cards, merchandise credits, Gymbucks and our Gymboree rewards program. Our company’s leadership is working hard to move through this process as quickly and efficiently as possible, while our stores are focused on ensuring that we are ready to meet your children’s clothing needs for the summer, the important back-to-school season and beyond.
